Do you understand the role of different partitions of RFID tag memory?

Time:2023-04-27 17:16:52

Before leaving the factory, the RFID tag chip is divided into four separate storage blocks (Bank) : Reserved (reserved), EPC (electronic product code), TID (tag identification number) and User (user). Do you know their actual use? With RFID label manufacturer RZX technology together to understand it!

RESERVER area: 8byte(4 words) size, the first 4 bytes (2 words) is the destroy password (used to destroy labels, generally not used), the last 4 bytes (2 words) is the access password (used to write data and lock operations), the default value is: 0000 0000 (destroy password) 0000 0000 (access password).

TID area: The size of 12byte(6 words), "only readable, not writable", has been written before delivery, is the unique identifier of the label, the product class identification number of the electronic label, each manufacturer's TID number will be different.

EPC area: It is the code of electronic product that identifies the label object. Compared with TID, EPC can be manually written and modified by users. The data structure of the EPC area is that the first word is the check bit, the second word is the length control, and the next word is the data storage location. When storing, the EPC is displayed according to the length represented by the length control bit. When writing EPC data, enter 1 at the start address. That is, data is written from the length control bit. The parity bit is automatically calculated and no manual writing is required. Length control bit calculation: EPC data length * 2 = i; Convert i to a hexadecimal representation, then add 00 to the converted result, and the end result is a length control bit of data. For example: 0001, i = 4 * 2 = 8 - >08 - >0800, length control bit is 0800, the program calculation:

The length is set according to the actual length of the data to be written. For example, 0001 is 1word and 4 bits (it should be noted that the length of the data bit must be a multiple of 4). Plus the length control bit 0800, the length is set to 2 in the software. For example, 0001 Start address: 1. Length: 2. Data: 08000001.

USER area: The length of this memory is determined by the manufacturer of each e-label. The USER area can write user-defined data (in hexadecimal form).

Reasonable application of label partition can make RFID tags obtain more applications in different scenarios, RFID tag customization and selection related introduction, welcome to contact relevant business personnel!
