What are the aspects of sensory control that are easily overlooked in medical fabric washing?

Time:2021-01-22 10:56:11

With the advancement of science and technology, more and more washing institutions have begun to adopt intelligent washing management mode to relieve the shortage of washing workers and the gradual increase in social pressure. Combining RFID technology and washing management to reduce the source of fabric infection, achieve the desired cleanliness, and strive to increase the use time of fabrics, to achieve intelligent management. In the previous technical exchanges, we introduced the role of RFID technology in linen management. Today, we will show you what are the sensory control problems that are easily overlooked in medical fabric washing?

1. Fabric. Cotton is easy to produce cotton lint, which is scattered everywhere as a carrier, so it is recommended to use water-soluble packaging bags when it is contaminated to reduce jitter; cleaning fabrics cannot be packed in sterile room workshops and other places. The concept of surgical fabric soft instruments is also based on the risk of sensory control caused by cotton fabrics that are easy to fall and produce siphon effect.

2. Sorting. Polluted and non-polluted fabrics with different degrees of soiling have a greater risk of sensory control.

3. Pre-wash. It is often difficult for some contaminated fabrics to be directly sterilized without proper pre-washing, because most of the dirt is organic, which can provide conditions for the growth of microorganisms, interfere with the anti-virus effect, and also protect the microorganisms. Prevent the effective contact of the disinfection factor with microorganisms.

4. Disinfectant. The ratio should be reasonable, the management should be in place, and the validity period should be ensured. Because some disinfectants with strong oxidizing properties are active and are prone to chemical reactions and become invalid, pay close attention to the effective concentration of disinfectants during use.

5. Transportation. The detoxification of transport vehicles and the standardized procedures of transport personnel are both important, and at the same time, transport personnel should be prevented from coming into contact with clean medical fabrics after washing.

6. Handover. Handover should be handled by a dedicated person, and hand hygiene and other precautions and handover records should be done. Handover and transportation will generate pollution risks. The more nodes there are, the greater the risk. Before the realization of intelligent logistics, management can only be strengthened.

7. Self-washing or public washing of work clothes and hats. The results of sampling and culturing in the ICU ward are highly consistent with the results of sampling and culturing at homes of medical staff. Unclean work clothes are one of the possible reasons.

8. The same mop or rag is used to clean multiple different places, which may cause cross contamination of germs. Wipes and mops are important helpers for multi-drug resistant bacteria. It is recommended that microfibers be classified according to different colors and promote disinfection wipes, wipes and mops sterilizers.

9. Pillow cores, quilts, and mattresses cannot be washed, are not washable or penetrated by body fluids, and the risk of infection cannot be avoided by replacing the outer cover. You can switch to washable or disposable cotton fabrics. Use a leak-proof middle order on the mattress. Using special cleaning and killing machines can also promote anti-bacterial bedding.

10. Incomplete decontamination and drying. The elements needed for the growth of microorganisms are mainly provided in the form of corresponding ji and inorganic substances. Nutrients can be divided into carbon sources, nitrogen sources, energy sources, growth factors, inorganic salts and water according to their physiological functions in the body. And these are also possessed by other living objects, so it is not conducive to the growth and survival of microorganisms on the surface of dry inanimate objects. Most of the dirt is a kind of substance, which can provide favorable conditions for the survival of microorganisms. If the washing and decontamination are not thorough, and the drying degree is not enough, it will not be conducive to meeting the hygiene requirements.

Standardized processes and management are the key to ensuring the quality of fabric washing. RZX Technology RFID laundry tags are resistant to high temperature, high pressure, high sensitivity, good consistency, can withstand long-term washing in harsh environments, self-service inventory, anti-theft traceability, avoid risk exposure, more RFID laundry tags and other related introductions, welcome to follow RZX Technology.
